Event Location
We are located at Bud’s Speedway: 1162 Grand Lake Road, Sydney.
Parking
General admission parking is located in the front lot to Bud’s Speedway where general tickets can be purchased at the main box office. For car show participants, drivers can drive to the track gate to receive further instruction upon entering.
Can I participate in both the car show and track access?
Absolutely! Track access includes a spot in the car show.
Where can I watch the tracked events?
Spectators can watch the events from the grandstands and additional seating is available near the car show portion.
Am I allowed to bring my pet?
Any animals brought to our events must be on a leash at all times.
Is there an age limit to participate?
Track participants must be 16 years of age and hold a valid driver’s licence.
Do I have to wear a helmet on the track?
Yes, all track participants (including passengers) are required to bring their own helmets for ALL track activities. No exceptions!
Can I take a passenger in my car for track access?
Select drivers with previous Island Speed and Style tracked experience are allowed to have a passenger during practice sessions only. These drivers will be notified ahead of the event. This is an insurance-related rule.
Can I purchase tickets at the gate?
Yes, general admission, basic car show, and basic track access (limbo, 2-step, freestyle) will all be available for purchase at the gate. Purchasing tickets through our website at the gate is also an option.
What safety precautions are in place?
Safety is our top priority, but with all autocross events, there is always possible risk for anyone participating. Our track has been designed with safety in mind. All drivers are required to attend a briefing at the start of the day to review the track layout and rules.
Anyone disobeying track rules or acting in an unsafe manner will be asked to leave the event. Trained first-aid personnel will be on-site all day. A signed e-waiver is required for all track participants.
All registrations for our events include a consent to participate. Failing to agree to this may result in a rejection to take part in the event(s).
Concrete barriers line the track fence for an added layer of safety.
How late is the event?
Our event typically runs until around 8pm depending on the time of year.
Can I enter my Street Bike/Dirtbike/Quad/Side-By-Side?
We accept all vehicles in our car show, but none of the above-mentioned vehicles are permitted to participate in track events.
Only cars and trucks are permitted on the track. This is due to insurance requirements.
Tech Inspection
All registered track vehicles will be subject to a brief inspection during line up. Must have no fluid leaks, secure battery, etc.,

Pit Area Rules
Track participants must line up for their selected round. Failure to line up will result in your laps being pushed or disqualified.

Do you take debit/credit?
We recently started accepting debit/credit for our events at the venue. Cash is also accepted.
Food & Beverages
Bud’s Speedway has a canteen on site to purchase food & beverages. Canteen hours are subject to change.
Is there a rain date?
In the event of inclement weather, the event will take place the following day. If the following day also isn't possible, a new date will be set for a future weekend.
